2013 Official Elf Report and a New Twist!

11 / 17 / 134 / 24 / 15
Well 2014 is upon us, it’s so hard to believe! I know I’ve been neglecting this blog and I promise to get back to it, I have so much new and fun things to share. To start off, here is the 2013 Official Elf Report! It’s been so much fun seeing this little printable I created shared all over the internet and Pinterest for the third year. Several readers have shared with me pictures of their elf with the printable so please feel free to share yours on the Magnolia Creative Co. Facebook page.
I decided to change up the report a little bit this year. There are still the Nice and Naughty lists for your elf to fill out but now there is also a miniature form for your children to fill out about their Elf’s behavior. So many people have gotten so creative with their Elf’s antics I figured this would be a fun little twist!
Download your free printable report here and enjoy! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!
Here is a little Instagram image if you feel like sharing.

6 / 28 / 134 / 24 / 15
I’ve been very busy working on the new Magnolia Creative Co. catalog and some fun new products like these – hand painted ceramic mason jars. They are completely food, drink and dishwasher safe and so, so fun!
Kids love them and flowers look beautiful in them. My children had a ball as my models for our back yard photoshoot. The mason jars are available in several patters including:
Gingham, Polka Dots, Stripes, Stripes and Dots, Solid, Flowers and Ombré (my personal favorite). They measure 3.25″ wide by 5.25″ tall and are a thick ceramic. Tops and twine do not come with the piece but they can be embellished anyway you want!
Throwing a party and would you like to have your own custom set? I can match any home or party decor and you’ll have a long lasting memory of your celebration. Contact me for more details on creating your own custom design.
Visit the website to order yours today. Have a great weekend everyone!

Rope Wrapped Letter Tutorial

5 / 8 / 13
I created this tutorial for Everyday Baby + Child Magazine to show how I created this rope wrapped anchor. It was so much fun and such an easy project.

Materials You’ll Need:
Foam board, mat board or thing craft board
X-Acto knife
Clear packing tape
Jute twine
Scissors
Optional: Hot glue gun or craft glue

Using a pen or sharpie marker draw out the shape you plan to wrap in twine. Cut the shape out with a sharp X-acto knife.

Cut small pieces of twine and using your clear tape, tape them across the edges of your letter or shape. This will help cover the ends. You may choose to tack the twine down now using a little dab of glue.

Now comes the fun part, start wrapping! Tape an edge of your twine on the back and start at one of your shape and start wrapping. Remember as you go to pull the twine tight and push it close together so you do not see the material underneath.

If you choose a letter such as the W I did you’ll have to cut smaller pieces and do the pointed parts separately. Continue to use your clear tape or glue to affix the twine to the back. Keep wrapping around as you go around your shape until you’ve wrapped the entire piece.

Lemonade Stand Ideas

5 / 1 / 13
Summer is quickly approaching and that means pool time and lemonade time! Several big businesses in Louisiana are sponsoring a wonderful event called Lemonade Day. Their goal is to “empower today’s youth to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs”. Audrey is signed up and it has been so much fun! We received a backpack with two workbooks, one for her and one for me, the mentor. It’s been great working with her and “branding her stand” and “setting goals”. It also encourages the children to save for the future and give some money to a charity as well as spend a little on themselves. I encourage you all the see if this program is available in your area and work with your children. I come from a family of entrepreneurs so it’s been great to pass this down to my daughter.
I created a special collection that you can purchase through my etsy shop for a very special price of only $10. It’s an instant download and it has everything you need for your child to create their own lemonade stand.

You will receive:
• 2″ party circles in 4 designs
• 8″ x 10″ “Fresh Lemonade” sign
• 8″ x 10″ “Fresh Lemonade” sign with price circle
• Two 8″ x 10″ “Fresh Lemonade” signs with directional arrows
• Tip jar wraps in two designs
• Thank you sign
• Invitation
• 2″ Thank you circles in 1 design
• Table tents in 3 designs
• 1 “Sweet” lemon banner
• 4″ Goodie bag toppers in 2 designs
• Menu card in 2 designs
• Drink flags in 2 designs
• Bottle wraps in 4 designs
• Planning worksheets
• Cupcake wrappers in 2 designs

• Lemonade banner
Don’t forget to check out my Lemonade Stand Pintrest board for my favorite supplies, recipes and ideas.
Enjoy!
